Seatstays are the tubes that connect the dropout to the seattube on bicycle frames. These tubes are becoming lighter and thinner on carbon fiber frames as both a means of weight and vibration reduction. Subsequently, this also makes them more susceptible to damage. One of our customers accidentally knocked over their LaPierre Xelius and sent it to us for repair. We had a fun time mimicking the curvature of the tubes on this bike! We are happy to report that we saved yet another frame and our customer continues riding “their daily racer”.
