This carbon fiber Giant Defy bike frame is a case we unfortunately all too frequently. First of all, the repair case is a bit unfortunate. Our customer’s seatpost slipped down from the collar during a ride, causing the post to crack it’s way through the shaped seattube. The truly unfortunate part is that it was sent to us after it had already been repaired! Thankfully the customer’s concern was not one of safety but of aesthetics. The patch job was certainly sub-par, and it’s honestly a bit disheartening having to undo someone else’s previous work. Furthermore, we never want to see customers spend more time or money than they should while dealing with repairs. Why work with Ruckus Composites?
