This year we revealed our full frame ultrasound inspection service and it’s proven to be immensely popular for many customers. Some have had crashed and wondered about the structural stability of their frames, while others have older carbon bikes and they wanted to just have them looked at to guarantee safety. This beauty of an Independent Fabrication bike came through Ruckus for full inspections of the joints. They are bonded Titanium and Carbon and our customer wanted to make sure everything was holding.
Ultrasound scanning is very complicated as it stands, so scanning through ti, epoxy, and carbon was quite the challenge to calibrate correctly. We discovered that all the joints were holding perfectly, however, and sent the frame back to our customer to be ridden confidently again.
